Content Manager

Content Manager is the SmartSource tool for creating, modifying and managing content used for email messages, landing pages, forms and other e-marketing media.   Using Content Manager, all of the content required for an integrated, interactive e-marketing application can be managed using a single web-based application.

Content Manager supports the following types of content:

• HTML for Email messages
• Text for multipart messages
• HTML for landing pages
• Forms-based pages for collecting data
• Images for use in HTML
• Documents used as attachments or hosted on-line download files
• Content “Snippets” – Re-usable HTML and text components that can be embedded in other HTML content.

FOLDER ORGANIZATION

All content is stored in a folder system that allows user-defined organization.  Content objects can be made public or reserved for private usage.  Folders may be used to store both content and other e-marketing application information such as lists, queries and sets of data.

CONTENT EDITING

A full featured HTML editor is provided.  Content may be created using the editor or imported from any standard HTML file.  Once loaded, HTML may be further edited.  The same editor can be used to create email content and HTML web “landing pages”.

Variable content can be defined using Content Snippets as well as conditional logic within the content message itself.  Variable data are “mail-merged” into the body of the content to provide personalized content in either the email message or the landing page.

FORMS EDITING
Forms are used as components of an HTML page to capture data from a user.  Forms may be linked to profile data as stored and managed by List Manager.

HOSTING

In addition to managing and editing content, Content Manager provides a complete facility for web hosting of your content.  Individual HTML pages can be published using a URL that can be referenced by other applications.  Images can be stored, hosted and used by any email message or web page that requires access to the images.  Documents such as Microsoft Word files or Adobe pdf files can be hosted for download access by any application.
