Adding Email to Vertical E-Commerce site

Who:  Provider of ecommerce solutions for grocery industry

Requirement: Growth in application and customer base required a high-volume email solution that could be integrated with e-commerce solution provided to grocery clients.  Requires a “private branded” solution for individual grocery chains but single platform for management.

Solution: Using SmartSource Email Manager to create and send email communications to opt-in subscribers for individual grocery chains.  Automating routine communications such as “recipe of the day” messages through web services API integration.  Assembly of common content across all chains (e.g. daily recipes) with variable content (e.g. chain-specific coupons).

Results: Ten fold increase in email volume without overwhelming own platform or diverting management and technical resources to build and manage own email platform and expertise. Automated delivery of nearly ten thousand individual “campaigns” per month.
