BURLINGTON, MA – SmartSource announced the release of its CAN-SPAM Compliance Service and the selection of the service by Hewlett Packard for processing third party email lists for CAN-SPAM compliance. “SmartSource is pleased to introduce the first fully automated application for processing external lists against opt-out databases to guarantee compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations.” said Mike Curtin, President of SmartSource. “The SmartSource service provides a fast turn-around (within minutes) for processing of lists, regardless of the source of the list” said Kip Ladd of HP, Email Suppression Program Manager – HP Internet and Marketing Services. “HP is committed to CAN-SPAM compliant email marketing practices. The SmartSource service allows our partners to securely process their lists against the HP suppression database and guarantee that all opt-out requests received by HP are honored by all of our partners.” The key to the SmartSource solution is a centralized process for receiving email delivery lists from any source; processing those lists against the suppression database; and returning the lists.
