According to Michael Curtin of SmartSource, WebEx selected the SmartSource solution to address the need to process email lists that are sourced from third party vendors while protecting the security of both the suppression list and the mailing lists.

The key to the SmartSource solution is a web application accessed via a secure web interface.  The centralized process is used to upload email lists from any source; process the lists against the suppression database; and return the lists after removing all opt-out email addresses.
