Architecture

The SmartSource product architecture supports our product strategy.

Each are based on a core belief that our clients are not interested in technology, they are not interested in email delivery, and they are not interested in managing data.  They are interested in marketing programs that result in prospects, leads, sales and satisfied repeat customers.

We also believe that every client has a unique perspective on their own marketing programs.  Every company views their marketing challenges differently and needs a technology partner that has the flexibility to implement their marketing vision.

Our product architecture incorporates flexibility in several dimensions:

Product modules – Core functionality to support e-marketing applications involves data, content, messaging, rules/logic and tracking and reporting.  These are the fundamental building blocks.  Each provides key functionality and supports the functionality of the other.

API/Web Services – All core functionality is “exposed” via APIs that are accessible via Web Services.  This architecture supports our own intra-product integration but it also permits our partners to access key features and capabilities for integration with their own applications or other third party applications.

Infrastructure –  Our “back-end” infrastructure supports high volumes of transactions whether they be email campaigns, trigger messages or workflow activities.

SAAS - "Software as a service", "on-demand", "web-applications" - different ways to describe today's dominant architecture for software development.  We are committed to the web as the delivery platform for our applications.  We believe that the real value is providing service as software - finding ways to deliver value and automate processes.    Implementing cost effective solutions where we deliver results.
